Our international workcamps :

Our international workcamps are opportunities for voluntary work, discovery and cultural exchange. They are organized primarily to provide assistance to a disadvantaged population, whether in the form of language courses to address the lack of access of the poor to quality education, or whether in the form of recreational and educational activities organized for children from poor families which do not have the means to take their kids elsewhere to relax after a long school year. They can also be projects of rehabilitation of public establishments frequented by the majority of the local population (schools, youth centers, hospitals, ...). These projects are also opportunities for cultural exchange and sharing of experiences between volunteers from all around the world. They are activities whose duration extends over a period of 10-15 days and are organized and managed by the association and which are open to participation by any person who meets the conditions of participation.
The work is done in the morning from Monday to Friday for four hours a day. In the afternoons, evenings and weekends, activities are planned for the benefit of volunteers.

Conditions of participation :
To participate in one of our workcamps, one must be 18 years of age or more and motivated to work together with all the group to achieve the different goals of the workcamp.
Your registration in one of our workcamps implies an engagement to stay the whole period of the camp and to respect the programme. And in case of a late arrival or early departure, you should let us know beforehand.

 International work camp in  Morocco 2014

Organizing activities for children (7-12 years old).
7th to 21th August 2014.
Location: Fakih Ben Salah
Country Morocco
Why this project?
There are no much facilities for children in Fakih Ben Salah and its neighborhood. It is not the habit that children have toys. and schools have no playgrounds or schoolyards. A lot of children are bored, hanging around, doing nothing. For these children ACJ wants to organize activities in the summer to give them a nice holiday. ACJ aims to attract especially children from poor families,
Method
The children will be grouped according to their age. Each team of volunteers will guide a group of children. Volunteers are free to design the program and choose activities according to their own whishes and the preferences of the children. Examples of activities are theater, dance, music, games and sports. Again, volunteers have to take into account that there are limited materials available.
Before your arrival we expect you to have many ideas of activities to do for the kids, so when you are preparing the work with other volunteers you can participate giving ideas and propose activites. 
Mostly children understand the games/tasks by giving a first example, but there are also permanent translators in case.
Accommodation
for the current project , volunteers will stay together in Reception center of the Ministry of Agriculture; this place is well equipped with double rooms; air condition; swimming pool and tennis courts.
Who can participate?
All the people between 18 and 40 years old can participate; some exception could be done for older Motivated people .

International work camp  Azilal City /Morocco 2014

Every volunteer taking part in our camps must be 18 years of age or more and speaking French or English. spanish.They also must be motivated to work and participate in the different activities in order to achieve the goals of the camp.

Painting the walls of a primary schools
6 th to 20 th August 2014.
Location: Beni Mellal and Azilal Cities
Country Morocco

Why this project?Schools in the area of Beni Mellal have a sober and boring look. ACJ  wants to give the schools a more child oriented look.
Method
The idea is to decorate schools with for example nice figures. or even to paint it if required .
Accommodation
Volunteers will stay together in a school or youth house
Who can participate?
Everybody who has the minimum age of 18 years old and who is sufficiently motivated.

International workcamps of volunteer work in Morocco (2014)
Organisation ACJ Morocco:
ACJ- 1:
teaching children and youngsters
from 26th June to 10th July 2013
Join our international voluntary camp in Bensliman (Morocco) from 26th June to 10th July 2013. This is a project in cooperation with Association de Chantiers Jeunes so we will have not only international volunteers but also Moroccans. Our living and work place will be place in Bensilamane but we will go several times to Bouzkina which is placed only 6km away so we can join th sun and the seaside.

We will host 10 international volunteers that will be divided in groups of 2 in order to organise the following courses: Spanish language workshop, English language workshop, dance & sports, art workshop and team building activities for children from 7 years old up to 16 years old.

Volunteers will stay in shared rooms sleeping in beds, also sharing bathrooms. The organisers will divide tasks so all the group can live in armony like a big family.

CONDITIONS

To be a member of International , to be between 16 and 45 years old, to be able to run activities with youngsters, be creative, be active, be enthusiastic. Accomododation is provided in beds in shared rooms, volunteers will cook and food will be provided. Participation fee of 50 euros that will be paid before the activity starts. The volunteering activities will happen in a school. We expect respect, tolerance and intercultural dialogue from both international and local volunteers.

HOW TO APPLY?

Send us your CV, and the application form volunteeringBensliman_ to acjmorocco@yahoo.com and write “voluntary project in Benslimane” in the subject of the email.

The group will be composed by 20 volunteers (10 Moroccans and 10 international ones). Participants will be in charge of arranging their travel means to Casablanca or Benslimane. For those ones who cannot arrive to Benslimane we will go together from Casablanca by bus.
